East Mebon
As a matter of fact, this temple is a Hindu temple from the 10th century dedicated to God Shiva. Originally situated the middle of the Eastern Baray, once a vast reservoir, it could only be reached by boat. Today the Baray is dried out. Rajendravarman II built this three-storeyed, red temple mountain for his parents. Elephants and lions made of sandstone decorate this temple mountain.
