Tonlé Sap
The Tonlé Sap - “Large Fresh Water River” or “Great Lake” as it is commonly known- is not only the biggest lakes of South East Asia but also one of the richest in fish inland waters of our planet. During the dry season the lake is “only“ 3.000 square kilometres large, but during the monsoon season it increases its area to 10.000 sqkm (sometimes 16.000 sqkm) and therefore floods large parts of the landscape year by year.
